One of the most frequently asked questions is how much does the Same Day courier cost? The reality is that it is a very variable price based on: 

  • Where are the good going to and from? 
  • What vehicle is required based on the size of the consignment?
  • How quickly the goods need to be collected and delivered? 
 

Once you have this information it is easy for us to give you a quotation. 

There is a preconception that Same Day courier can be very expensive. This is not necessarily true. The reality is that sometimes the same day courier can be more cost effective than an overnight carrier.

Yes, if the transit time allows your goods will be transported on a dedicated vehicle that will go directly and immediately to the destination address.

Our response time within all major cities can be as quick as within one hour from a booking. We cover the whole of the UK. For rural areas and islands which might depend on ferry crossings an estimated time to collect will be given.

We accept online payments by credit cards. A link after an online booking will direct you to our payment page

Yes. We can telephone you upon delivery with a proof of delivery (pod) if requested and you will always receive an automatically generated email POD.

Yes. All our vehicles are tracked and have satellite navigation to optimise UK traffic routing. We will contact you if there are any significant delays.

Dedicated vans – packing is still recommended but not required. Your goods will be delivered direct in the vehicle they are collected in.

Yes, we can, please complete the online booking request ‘link’ or give us a call and run through the details. We regularly collect odd space / size items from all over the UK. Items include tables, chairs, beds, sofas, quad bikes, pushbikes, rowing machines, washing machines etc.

Volumetric weight is used by postal companies and other freight industries and courier services around the world to invoice for the actual space that a parcel, package or pallet takes up in a vehicle or storage area. A vehicle can quickly become full of bulky, lightweight articles long before it reaches its capacity in weight which makes for inefficient use of space.

The basic procedure for calculating volumetric weight is:

  • Find the smallest box that your consignment will fit in
  • Find the volume of the box in cubic centimetres (length x width x height)
  • Divide this by 6000: the answer is your volumetric weight in kilograms.
